URentDVD excels in just about every category I measured, and provides a top-notch user experience. The only disadvantage is the average selection of titles.

Pros: Polished service; Above average turnaround time; Good customer service; Free video on demand with rental plan; Exceptional web site; Rapid Return features; voted best rental site 2007, 2008.

Cons: Poor DVD selection

Pros: Professional, informative, easy-to-use web site; unlimited video on demand; “Quick Returns” feature; AVN award winner 2005, 2006, 2007.

Cons: Their movie selection is limited in comparison to some other services.

Cons: Sister site dvdempire.com has received many negative reviews; Site is unfocused, so rentals are harder to find than they could be.

GoFlix is one of the larger, more mature services that looks good on paper; however, many users report inconsistent service.

Pros: Large service; Fast turnaround time; Their DVD rental system is mature

Cons: Site is “broken” in some areas, and there are some obvious typos, which lead you to wonder what other things they might have overlooked; There is a fair amount of negative criticism regarding their customer service; inconsistent service.

BushDVD Review

Bush DVD has a good selection of DVD’s, but falls short in other areas. You can also rent from Bush DVD without a monthly membership, but you’ll pay a higher rental cost and be charged shipping.

Pros: Offers a rapid return option where the next DVD from your queue is sent as soon as you notify them that the previous rental is in the mail; has a non-member rental option.

Cons: Selection is limited. Good inventory of movies, but members report that many stocked titles are old or unpopular.
